Acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinese dietary therapy can be used to treat women’s health issues, such as irregular or painful periods, PMS, fibroids and PCOS. Women are often prescribed birth control pills at a young age to deal with irregular periods or other menstrual irregularities, without treating the underlying imbalance.
